Various methods of laying laminate panels on walls include vertical, horizontal, diagonal, grid or herringbone. Each technique has its own unique characteristics.
For example, when laying panels vertically, the ceiling appears higher, which is useful for rooms with low ceilings. Diagonal layout is best suited for large spaces, as it makes the interior more attractive.
However, in small rooms, diagonal laying can create the effect of compressing the space. Horizontal placement of panels parallel to the floor helps to visually “expand” the room. But if the ceilings are low, horizontal laying can make them visually even lower.
At the same time, horizontal and vertical laying methods are considered the easiest to install. Laying laminate diagonally or in a herringbone pattern requires more time and effort, but the result looks very impressive.
