The range of plaster mixes includes those for leveling the base and decorative interior design.
Based on the binder, the construction market offers:
- cement – applied to concrete bases. Characterized by strength, moisture resistance, durability, resistance to temperature changes;
- gypsum – covers wooden or gypsum ceiling slabs. The composition includes quartz or perlite sand. Dries quickly, high adhesion, resulting in a flat surface. It is best suited for finishing the ceiling, as it tolerates shrinkage of the house;
- lime – used for plastering wooden ceilings. The solution has strength, antifungal properties, thermal insulation, the ability to withstand mechanical damage;
- mineral – contains mineral components. Applied to any surface. Characterized by the ability to resist mold formation, exhibits antibacterial properties;
- decorative plasters – acrylic, silicone, silicate. They use compositions to form a decorative pattern or a base for painting;
- dry plaster – gypsum plasterboard sheets, reduce the time of work, covering large areas at once.
On a plane with pronounced defects, unevenness, chips, use a solution for applying a thick layer to level and prepare for finishing with a decorative composition. For bases without flaws, use mixtures for applying thin layers. After the plaster dries, go over the plane with sandpaper or a grinding machine. The surface is ready for painting or decorating.
