Pentone in private construction

  • April 17, 2017

Foam concrete is a material with a light cellular structure, which is made from a cement-sand mixture and water with the addition of a foaming agent. Compared to aerated concrete, it has a much lower cost with similar characteristics. In private construction, equipment for foam concrete can be used both for the production of blocks and for the manufacture of liquid mixture for screeds and filling the space between brickwork.

Advantages

Among the many advantages of foam concrete blocks, high thermal conductivity indicators are the forefront, which are almost at the same level with this parameter in special insulation. The ability to maintain heat allows you to reduce the heating costs in the heating period by almost a third. In addition, the foam block is not too inferior in strength to harder materials, fire resistant and not subject to decay, as well as:

It has a small mass – with the same volume, it is more light than the usual concrete block by 3 times. This property allows you to reduce the cost of building the foundation.

Passes air – allows you to maintain a comfortable microclimate in the premises.

Environmentally safe – even under the influence of high temperatures does not emit dangerous compounds.

Soundly soundproof the rooms.

Easy to install – it is possible to process with a hand tool.

The economy of foam blocks, in addition to a low cost, consists in reducing the cost of the foundation, the speed of the walls, the use of glue, the flow rate of which is much less than a cement mortar. In addition, the equipment for its production installed at the construction site allows you to reduce transportation costs, make blocks and liquid mixture in the required amount, and possibly earn on their implementation. Do not forget that the external walls can absorb moisture, so they are necessarily finished, and plaster work is carried out only after a complete shrinkage of the walls.
