The sheathing of a metal staircase

  • December 22, 2017

When lining the metal frame, a tree is used. At the same time, different methods can be used: approaches or their absence, wooden railings, balusters, metal rails. To decorate the steps, you can use such types of wood as pine, larch, oak, beech, ash. For the upper part of the steps, you need to use a material that is resistant to wear (oak, ash, beech). Between the steps for the decoration of vertical gaps, you can use glued oak or an array of soft rocks. When sheathing, its elements must be adjusted to the size of the frame so that the cracks are closed. To do this, in the manufacture of wooden parts of the steps, you must first measure each of them and numb. The railing is best selected so that it is comfortable for hands.

When the wooden elements are installed, the upper part of the steps is fixed with screws. Then the approaches must be rested on the frame and fixed. On the edges along the entire length of the stairs, you need to place balusters and columns, fixing them with special studs. The side part of the staircase is closed with a wooden step -cut step panel. At the end, varnish is applied to the wooden elements of the stairs.
