Recently, a system of gender insulation system has gained great popularity among customers. In this case, a special heating element is required, which is the main thing when arranging the entire system. The offered cables are different in price, format, color and other characteristics.
Cables according to the principle of operation are divided into:
self -regulating;
Resistant.
Since the electromagnetic radiation from the cables is quite large, it is necessary to use a special surface on the top of the paved cables, which includes lead, or from copper.
Resistor cable
It is easy to understand that one -core resistive cable is one core (wire) made of metal isolated from all sides. Resistant cables are connected directly to the source of electric current. Two -core resistive cable is, respectively, two veins, also isolated.
With the course of the electric current, a sufficient amount of heat is released through the resistive cable, which must be limited by the temperature regulator. In this case, this device must also be installed in the installation system of the “warm floor”. However, if you choose the right cable in accordance with the voltage parameters of the network, then the thermostat can not be used.
A resistive cable is also armored if it is the same resistive cable, but made with a significantly increased percentage of strength. It is used in the installation of flooring in places where large loads and frequency of exposure to external bodies, for example, in garages, on parking lots, are on the floor.
The zonal cable is very similar to a resistive cable according to the principle of its functionality. However, it does not include a straight line, but a spiral that does not conduct current in itself, but connects to the veins conducting the current. There should be a certain gap between the spiral and conductive veins.
Self -regulating cable
Self -regulatory cable differs significantly from resistant in terms of the principle of its operation, in the device. Inside such a cable there is necessarily two wires, which also heat up and conduct electric current. Between them is the so -called matrix, which is a semiconductor. In the presence of a matrix, the current resistance increases, and this increase is in direct proportion with the temperature of the external environment.
Any person who is going to independently mount the “warm floor” should first of all correctly calculate the power of the entire heating system. To do this, calculate the so -called specific power of the cable
Step -by -step instruction for calculating power
Find out (or calculate) the area of the room (for this it is better to measure all sides and make the necessary calculations);
From the area of the floor, deduct the area by which there will be an area occupied by items of furniture and other facilities of the room;
The result is multiplied by the power necessary for heating a particular space calculated 1 kV. m. per unit.
On packaging with electric heater elements, manufacturers usually give a table of the required capacities.
So, for example, to heat a standard balcony or loggia requires approximately 200 W/ sq. m., kitchens or hallways located in approximately equal areas – 150 W/sq. m. Living rooms depending on the size – from 110 W/sq. m. up to 160 W/sq. m. Bathroom – 180 W/ sq. m.
As already described above, floor surfaces are mounted using cables that conduct current. The alternative to this system is the installation of ready -made heating mats. However, the installation of mats is in some cases simply impractical, since they are produced by manufacturers of strictly defined sizes and are not always suitable for different types of premises. Also, these devices are much more expensive than a set of measures to lay ordinary cables already on the spot. Also, the cable can be laid at different frequency – to increase or decrease the heat of heat into the room. The veins laid inside the mat cannot be shifted differently.
All cables of the above types are heating elements that release heat. With improper operation, a fire or an electric shock may occur, even if you take into account that all the insulation of the cables is made of non -combustible materials, and the cables themselves are laid under the concrete screed.
However, it should still be observed precautions.
Rules for the installation and operation of a cable for a warm floor
It is necessary to observe the correctness and a clear sequence in styling;
use only good equipment with intact insulation and the veins themselves (wires);
prevent unhindered access to children or pets to elements of the entire system during installation and operation.
In general, the use of cables in the “warm floor” system is absolutely safe.
The prices for heating cables are different and differ in:
manufacturer (domestic or foreign);
diameter;
type (resistive, self -regulating, zonal);
specific power.
