To do this, it is necessary to insulate the entire surface of the attic, which is in contact with the external environment, but first it is worth installing the electrical wiring with the connection to the ascue if it is provided.
One of the main stages of the reconstruction of the attic floor is to warm the roof using the layers of hydro-, heat, and vapor barrier. According to the technology, a layer of waterproofing is laid behind the main roofing roof material, then there is a ventilation gap and a rafter system, and after them a layer of thermal insulation and a hermetic layer of vapor barrier are laid.
If the attic in which the reconstruction is carried out is wooden, then it is better to insulate it outside, which will preserve the properties of wood and microclimate in the room. The insulation of the attic from the inside is a more economical option, but in this case the room becomes a thermos, which is not very useful, unpleasant and requires good ventilation.
For wall insulation, it is best to use foam. It has a low cost, it is easily mounted, has water -repellent properties and high thermal insulation characteristics.
